Chapter II.
Shamrock vs. Sauerkraut.
Shure the Kaiser's cows are grazing
But ye'd better call them in,
For they'll be no Dutch to milk them
If the war kapes up 'till Spring.
Shure this is phwat will happen
If you don't let up ye know,
'Twill be Pat's cow that'll ate the grass
Where the Sauerkraut used to grow.

Begorra don't count your chickens
'Till their [sic] all hatched out ye know
You'd better kape the Sauerkraut
And lave the Shamrock grow.
Or the Russian Jews will wear your shoes
And ye'll have no men to go
To take the grass from Pat's cows
Where the Shamrock used to grow.
