    Isn't it "peculiar" that we
have always lived so near together, and
yet came here to get acquainted? but
it's no matter now, for when we return
home, we'll try to atone for the mutual
neglect of past years. Quite fortunate for
us wasn't it, that we were both W's - else we
shouldn't have walked so closely together up
the "Hill of Science." W. is a good letter if it does bring
us to the last of everything. we'll be careful how we
change it, won't we?
