My Book Collection, 1837-1890
History
I've been collecting books about Mount Holyoke, chiefly for my own research into the history on my postcards. But they began taking on a charm of their own. These are the books, magazines, articles, and pamphlets that date between 1837 and 1890.

- "Catalogue of the Memorandum Society in the Mount Holyoke Female Seminary" (1842)
- This issue covered the first five years of the Seminary.
- The purpose of the Memoradum Society was to obtain and perpetuate facts relative to the members of the Seminary. They printed a catalogue of all its members with their latest reported residence and general facts about their lives every fifth year.
- Predates the Alumnae Association, which has taken up this work since.
