The Four-Digit South Hadley Series

History

The publisher on this postcard series seems to be N. E. Card Co., in Boston, MA. See the first card listed here for that clue; all the other cards are not marked with publishing information. The series was done before 1917, since there is a card of Williston in here, and Williston burned down in 1917. The few that I have that were postally used are dated 1913-1922. It seems to have at least 30 cards to the series, according to the four-digit numbers.

This is the dear building where I take my beloved Latin. Oh! how I hate it. It's a nice building all the same. Tell Julian that I have lost his address and I want that picture terribly. How is 500? My address is Mt. Holyoke College South Hadley Mass. F. I. S."

Exams are over and I didn't flunk any." and up the side: "Don't be ashamed of me tho' when you hear my marks this year. I really have tried. We have been having a very exciting time here in Northampton. We had a strike on street-cars. Bessie is gone home a week or more now. Kindly remember me to Mr. B. been up spending the day with Kate to-day we went out and spend [sic] the afternoon with Mrs. Walker. She is very pleasantly situated.
