These are the cards that made me laugh when I read them.

- back Divided back. Postmarked Dec 15, 1915 7am in South Hadley. "Dear William, I am so sorry to hear that you are sick and hope that you are getting better now. I addressed this card to you a long while ago but didn't write anything on it & now when I heard you were sick I thought you would particularly like some mail. To-day we are separated from the rest of the world. There has been no street cars running out here or no mail has come and the telephone wires are down. We might just as well be in Europe. Love Corinne"

- back Postmarked in South Hadley Feb 9, 1914, 10am, divided back. "Poor lady, I'm so sorry you're so miserable. Please get better quickly. Wish you were up here in this lovely, lovely country; then you'd have to get well so's to enjoy it all. This is our new gateway of which we're so proud. Exams are over and I didn't flunk any." and up the side: "Don't be ashamed of me tho' when you hear my marks this year. I really have tried. Much love, Madeleine Please give my love to Miss Nell and Uncle George"

"This is a very fine science building with well lighted rooms. Speaking of brightness reminds me of the niece, Marcella. She has quite a vocabulary now and talks very plainly. I don't know whether its [sic] safe to tell you on a post card what she calls me. Well, she leaves off the last syllable of my name, the little rascal. Helen."
