In the grounds of Mount Holyoke seminary, overlooking the beautiful valley through which the Connecticut flows seaward, is a monument to Mary Lyon, the Massachusetts teacher who founded the college. A lady seventy two went up, and Mrs Dodge thought Grandpa could stand it. We won't be home until to-morrow, Thurs. We are having a very fine time. Mamma."
