Holyoke House Oct. 12, 1935 Dear Mrs. Bills, Wish we might send you a bit of the beauty of the landscape this gorgeous fall day! The trees far below us are like a rich carpet in their autumn garb, - and the old Connecticut only breaks through the loveliness to add a bit of blue to the color scheme. how I wish you might be here to enjoy it with us! Mrs. Carkin has been reviewing and renewing her experiences with the mountain. We really need to hear the experiences of a "fifty-yearer" to make the day complete. We picked up some "color" for you on our early hike around the lake this morning. With sincere wishes B. Cramer"

Hillside Hall
front "Hillside Hall, Mount Holyoke College South Hadley, Mass."
back Divided back. Published by R. A. Glesmann, South Hadley, Mass. and the Albertype Co., Brooklyn, NY. Not postally used, but inscribed: " "Hill" is our other new dorm on the same principle as "Rocky." It was originally named otherwise but the girls during its construction called it Hill so much the administration gave it that name on completion. It is situated across the Lower Lake, the lake being directly off the left corner of this card. A long board walk leads up the hill to two back entrances. There is a drive "in front" of the postal coming from around the lake. The dorm is really a duplicate of "Rocky" in every way even to the general run of the crowds that go there. It is not as desirous as the other because of its location but many would prefer it to some of the real old dorms near the center of the community. It is the seen [sic] of many teas, etc."

back Divided back, unused. OK, so it's probably not Mount Holyoke's Hillside Hall, since I've never heard of Lovers' Island, but I'm thorough about collecting, and I couldn't bear to turn down something that might be Mount Holyoke related!
