A Letter written on Sep 29, 1849

Holyoke Seminary, Sept. 29th. 1849

Mr. Merriam,

Sir,

As you have so kindly offered to supply me with books while at the Seminary, and I have not the supply of books which I need, I would like if convenient, to have you send me Andrews & Stoddard's Latin Grammar, Smellie's Philosophy of Natural History, Marsh's Ecclesiastical History, Goldsmith's Rome, and Grimshaw's France, Latin (Cornelius Nepos) and Village Hymns. I will be much obliged to you if you can send them soon. Please remember me kindly to Mrs. M. and cousins.

Yours respectfully,
Maria Allen
