Friday Afternoon

Dear Mom & Dad,

Well, two down & two to go. I had my Psych exam yesterday morning and Art yesterday afternoon. They were both really tough - especially the Psych which was all short answer. It's such a relief to have those two over. I spent every minute Mon, Tues, & Wed. (we didn't have classes Wed.) in the library. Last night three of us went into Holyoke to the movies. My last two exams are German on Tuesday & Math on Thurs. so I'll have plenty of time to study.

Since no one signed up for the 5-day ski trips, the Phys. Ed. Dept. is having short, one-day trips to Hogback Mountain in Brattleboro Vermont & also Big Bromley.

Edgy & I are going this Sunday & I'm going the following Sunday also - Edgy's going home between semesters. The Monday between semesters one of the kids from Springfield is driving up skiing - we still don't know where - & I'm going along. Guess that's the only way I'll get to use my skiis. [sic] We've had two snowstorms since Christmas - each one lasted about 15 minutes.

Haven't written Mr. Rose yet but I will this week. One of the kids from camp sent me the picture. Pretty horrible. Whatever happened to those negatives that that girl sent me? If they're around could you have a print made up.

Aunt Hattie sent the p.j.'s up & they're really cute. Size 38 & they seem to fit fine.

Just got the church bulletin today & I see Dad made the back page. See also that the chair's going to sing Brahm's Requiem. Great.

We've been hearing Beethoven's Ninth Symphony around here until it's coming out our ears. The music exam is on it & a couple of kids have it. We can't wait until it's over. It sounds like a great course (Music Appreciation) & I'd like to squeeze it in sometime if I can work it.

Loads (well, a few, anyway) of the kids are applying for waitress jobs for this summer. I thought about it but decided I'd better stick to camp work. That $600 that everyone talks about making is a pretty mythical figure.

I'd better stop now so I can get this in the afternoon mail.

Love,
Liz

P.S.
Good luck to Tom on that interview. I'd love to get some picture post-cards from Paris next summer.
Ordered my ring. They won't be here until May.

P.P.S.
We don't find out our marks until Valentine's Day!
