A Letter Written on May 12, 1955

Thursday A.M.

Dear Mom & Dad,

Got your letter yesterday & was so glad to hear you had a good time. It really was great having you up & I hope next time you come up you can meet more of the other parents. Too bad it rained Sunday but Sat. certainly was beautiful & you saw the place at its best.

Saw Mrs. Rintoul for a minute this morning. Mary played the organ in chapel & she cme up to hear her. She said she got your note.

Glad to hear Tom's running on the Conservative ticket. Good luck to him - when are the elections?

Frank Lloyd Wright was very good last night - in fact, so good that I'm cutting a German class this morning to hear him again. He's quite a character - has a very sharp tongue & is firmly convinced that he is American architecture but nevertheless, has a lot to say.

This week has been very restful after last, although I've managed to keep busy enough. Exams start a week from Saturday - doesn't seem possible. By the way - I completely forgot about this when you were up here - Edgy has invited me down to Haverford the weekend of May 28th. I have a German exam that Friday morning & nothing else until Tuesday afternoon. It really sounds like fun as Donna Vroman & Nan Curtis will be there also.

Almost time for Frank Lloyd so I'll say "see you soon!"

Love,
Liz
