Saturday

Dear Mom & Dad,

The camp is really great, now that I'm beginning to find my way around. All of the counselors haven't yet arrived - only 28 out of 42. It seems almost everyone here is from Syracuse or went to Syracuse University. I didn't know there were that many kinds in the city I didn't know.

I met Aaron later on last night. He fell & hurt his leg so has been in bed. Both he & Mrs. Rose are very nice. This morning Peter interviewed each of us to find out likes, dislikes, etc. We worked around - varnished canoe paddles, etc. Looked at the archery equipment which is in horrible condition.

The weather is quite cool so none of us have been in swimming yet. One thing I forgot - a pillow - could you send one up?

We don't yet know what age kids we'll be working with or what other counselor. There are 10 kids in a cabin to 2 counselors - much better than last year.

Guess that's all for now. Write soon.

Love,
Liz
