Mount Holyoke College
1958Sunday
Dear Mom & Dad,
Not too much new - I've been working like a trojan & can't wait to get home next Sunday & relax. I'll check on busses & let you know.
Had a surprise last night - Dick walked in about 5 o'clock. He'd hitch-hiked down from Dartmouth. It sort of interrupted my schedule but I was ready for a break. We just went to the movies but it was fun.
By the way, I've been asked to be head of P.O. next semester - not too much work & 10¢ more an hour. I'll take that! Also discovered that if I continue this work next year I'll get another 10¢ instead of 5. This would be 70 whole cents an hour. I talked with Miss Voorhees & she told me about a typing job & told me to take my time about deciding.
Thurs.
This letter covers quite a span of time. Checked on the busses & there is one at 11:40 Sunday A.M. arriving - Syracuse at 6:40 P.M. As things now stand I'll be on that.
Been really hitting the old books since Monday. Dick stayed until Sunday P.M. so I didn't get any work done then but I'm about caught up with my schedule now. Exam schedule stands: Ec & Physi tomorrow [Friday] & German & Eng. Lit. Saturday. By the time I get home my exams will be 4/5 over!
Faculty Show is Sat. night. Comes once in four years so is quite an event. I was lucky that I could get someone to sit my bells while I go.
By the way, church bulletins are still coming to Wilder instead of Mead. Saw in the last one that we lost quite a few people to the new Dewitt church.
Well - time yu esse and tempus fugit's - See you Sunday evening around 6:40.
Love,
Liz
