Dear Mom & Dad,

I meant to write before this but I had an ec blue-book yesterday & studying has kept me busy. I've also been doing a lot of canoeing - mornings, especially getting ready for the canoe meet or parents' weekend.

Mud and I got our first choice dorm - we moved on number 14 so couldn't miss - it's Buckland, the new dorm behind Mead that won't be finished until next fall. We're really excited about it - of course we can't see our rooms or anything but we have two singles on 3rd floor - all the juniors but one are going to be on that floor which should be fun.

I attended my last S.G.A. Nom Com meeting last night & my first O.C. Board meeting [as V.P.] Monday night. I'm not sorry to see my nom com term end but it has been good experience for me.

I'm going to Yale this weekend as the sole representative to the Y.O.C. spring outing from M.H.O.C. Guess I'll be bussing it down with some "Smithies" as no one else from here is going. Should be great fun, I'm looking forward to it.

A couple of things - I ordered a Holyoke blazer - white with a blue emblem - didn't have a chance to write home & I really wanted it but can pay for it out of my "bell-girl money". However, I have a book bill of $15 for this semester which I have been ignoring for some time. I expect a threatening letter from the registrar any day now saying: "Cough up - or else!".

Dick Rhodes, the freshman from Yale came up last Saturday & we went to the movies - nice evening. Other than that, I've been studying & writing papers - great life.

Today was our first warm spring day & I spent the afternoon in a canoe & later playing softball. As you can see, the pressure's off for a while & it's too nice to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary.

Time for bed.

Love,
Liz

P.S.
Have had several cards from Aunt Hattie. Sounds great!
