Camp Chateaugay
Merrill, N.Y.

Sunday

Dear Mom & Dad,

The weekly missle [sic] from Camp Chateaugay. If my writing is illegible it's because the temperature is about 40° & my hands are slightly stiff.

This was probably the biggest weekend of the year as far as parents are concerned. Yesterday was Country Fair Day & this was the middle weekend which accounts for the mob. One good thing - we took in $20 in tips yesterday & today. The Fair was like all big days - fun but an awful lot of work. With so many parents here it was bedlam.

Glad to hear that Tom is doing so well at Sagamore. Hope the summer will result in his shaping up a little more in the future.

Dick Sherwood hitch-hiked over from Massena last Wed. night & we went to the movies in a borrowed car. It was really good to see him. As usual he arrived completely unexpected & luckily I could get off. He's coming down again soon with two friends & a car which should be fun.

It'll be good to see you the 8th. I can make a reservation for you in a nice motel in Chateaugay for Tuesday night and then take Wednesday off. We can always find something to do. See you then.

Love,
Liz
