Camp Chateaugay
Merrill, N.Y.

August 9, 1956

Dear Tom,

Mummy & Dad were here last night & I heard all about Sagamore. It sure sounds like a great place - one where you can have a great time & learn something too. Stick at it!

We had lots of fun last night. Had dinner in a very nice spot in Plattsburg & then drove around & talked. It sure was great to see them.

Camp is still fine although not as good as last year. The most exciting times, of course, are the days off. My last, which was Monday, I went rock climbing with Martin Engle (who I think you know). After that we went horseback riding, sailing, swimming, to Malone for a movie, drinking & then to a folk-singing party which broke up at 3A.M. What a day!!!

A couple of my girls know your friend Sally - we have a bunch from Brighton.

Well - I'm on swim duty now. Write if you have time & Be good!

Love,
Liz
