7/26/56Hi,
How was the trip back home? Things up here are great as usual. I just recieved [sic] the box of laundry and everything is fine. Would you please send some wash-clothes up because I need some. Thanks alot for the cookies, they are great and most of them in one piece.
Monday night our quintet went into Raquette Lake Village and sand [sic] at a bassar. [?] The entertainment was from all the camps on or near Raquette Lake. There were seven camps there and we sang number four on the program. Also from Sagamore were Rita Freedman, the piano player and Rich Rothbard the singer who really did an excellent job on Old Man River. (Also, while I was in town I bought a pipe and I need permission to smoke it and I was wondering if you would write smoking permission for me. About the only time I would smoke it would be in the evening.) After the show we drove to Inlet and went to that sweets shop on the main corner at the bend in the road. We got back to camp about 11:30 and got special permission to sleep in the morning. Last night the whole camp went to bed at 9:00 instead of 10:30 because Dr. Brains felt that there were two [sic] many colds & sore throats. Sally was in bed all yesterday with a cold but I am still feeling 100% well.
In our lectures at 9:00 in the morning they have started a series of three lectures just like a college professeur [sic] would give on 1) a simple radio system, 2) epilepsy, 3) model railroading. This is so that we can practice and learn the correct way to take notes. On the day following each lecture we have a little test which gives us a
caucechance to learn the right way to study our notes.Well I guess thats [sic] about all for now. I wrote to Dave tuesday [sic] & told him how happy I would be to go to Ocean City with him and I got a letter from Dawn who is now at Camp Askenonta.
Love

I am using my last envelope and I had to borrow this piece of paper.
