Wednesday

Dear Mom & Dad,

Intended to write you Sunday but got rather involved in a lit. crit. paper - as usual.

So sorry to miss you last Thurs. but I had a seminar & didn't get home until 6. Glad the trip was fun - you're still taking life easy, I hope.

Attended an excellent concert here Fri. night - the Barylli String Quartette who are every bit as good as the Budapest group. Got to a football game Sat - Amherst homecoming - & saw them run all over Wesleyan.

Mrs. Knowlton is here & the dorm was forced to immediately sit up & take notice. She's very sweet but not as lenient about rules, etc. as Mrs. Reed. No more 12 mid. round-singing sessions in the living room. We're spoiled.

Have you seen anything of Charlie? I haven't heard a word from him & am quite put up out about it.

The check should reduce the debt a bit - I figure I still owe you $5 - Right?

Time for class.

Love,
Liz
