A Letter Written on Mar 5, 1957

Tuesday, Mar. 5 -

Dear Mom & Dad,

Well, how are things on the home front? Today is another of those beautiful May-in-March days that we've been having. Can hardly believe that we spent this weekend snowshoeing through 6 inches of fresh powder snow with tempts. around 15°. It was Dartmouth's Spring weekend at the Ravine Lodge & I wasn't going to miss it simply because I couldn't ski. Snowshoes are great fun & it was a great weekend - or the first half of it was - I came down with "Green Death" Sat. night which really slowed me down. But after much sleep yesterday I feel much better this A.M.

Before I forget - Can you send up my old, green floor-length formal. I need it Friday, the 15th for our Glee Club concert with Amherst. We also give the same concert [in robes, though] here this Sunday night & we're all very excited & have been working very hard - a Hayden Mass -- complete with orchestra.

Had a letter from Stek yesterday. She starts spring vacation the 23rd of March & wants me to drive down to Union then for a day or two. I haven't decided yet but would like to leave a chance to if I decide to so if you haven't already invited the Müllers, could you ask them for the next weekend?

Spring vacation is only two weeks away & that marks the mid-point of 2nd semester. Time has sure been speeding by. The usual mid-term blue books & papers are upon us but they're not affecting me to[o] harshly. 1 Blue book this week, paper that's already done, short story due next week & another blue book Monday before vacation -

See you soon.

Love,
Liz

P.S.
Neil Brown, Hamilton, A.F.S. & Chateaugay, Cleveland, N.Y. called this weekend but I was away. Don't know who his date was.
