Dear Mom & Dad,

We seem to be having an early spring around here. Wore my suit the other day, blazer & the forsythia I've had in a vase in my room for a week & a half is finally beginning to show some signs of life. It won't last but sure is nice while it's here. More like early May than March.

I had an interview Monday with a woman who is the headmistress of a private school in Denver - the Kent School. I just remembered last night that Carol Clark is in that area. Since there aren't many private schools in Colorado, she just might be at that one. Do you know? Miss Bennett was one of the most charming women I've met - young & vivacious - just finishing her first year as headmistress & is a Smith graduate. I'm sure working under a woman like her would be a joy.

The school in Providence is the Lincoln School, run by Quakers & from what I can discover, a really fine old school Haven't heard yet whether my interview will be next Tuesday or the 25th.

Surprise! Tom & I do correspond. In fact I got a letter from him the day before I got yours.

As for vacation:

1. I'll be in Syracuse all summer.

2. We won't be late because
        a) Dan's job
        b) Charlie will have plane reservations to Washington

3. The dress will take hardly any time - I can even start it up here - If this is the only objection, there are no problems.

4. Camping at Katahdin & climbing with people who really know their stuff is something I won't have a chance to do any day of the year. Also - most arrangements are all made & have been for 2 weeks.

I'll check on accomodations [sic] for graduation weekend. When will you come, Fri. or Sat. & will you plan to leave Sun. night or Mon. A.M.?

Love,
Liz
