Received a letter from Cousin Lizzie, saying Fred was sick and he wanted I should write you that he thought under the circumstances he should have to decline your kind invitation. I think he would have been pleased to have gone if he could have done so. His Mother wrote that he had some fever and rheumatism and the Dr thought he better stay in bed for a few days. Do not think he was well when he was here and was about sick the night before he went home. It is too cold to sit up here and write. Will leave the rest of this sheet for your mother to write on.
