Templeton, Aug. 16, 1906.Dear Girls [includes Mary perhaps?],
As you invited me to write to you, I will try to write a very short letter. I intended to write yesterday, but went to Gardner to that 'sale' in the forenoon: in the afternoon Carrie went to Brookside park with Miss Cooledge (?) and I did the work, then went to bed and slept the rest of the afternoon. There is nothing to write, except that we are all well. And one
otherbit of news. Fred and Mattie Winch have a little daughter, born last night. Arthur Willoughly told me so I think it is true. Mrs. Pratt and Helen went home yesterday. Miss C_ spent Tuesday with us. Bessie Lord was sick so that she could not read Tues. night. If you come home in the afternoon, I think you might get the Ware River train at W_n. It would save quite a walk for you. I hope you are having a nice time. I must get supper now.Much love
Mama.I enjoyed your letter much. We have ironed today.
