Milford, N. H.,
Aug. 5, 1906.My dear Lucy:-
We arrived home safely. When we reached Ayer, our train was just backing into the station, so we had time enough. The children were over to the station to meet us.
We haven't had the lawn party yet as it rained a little Friday night and rained hard yesterday. It will be to-morrow night, if pleasant.
Wednesday our Burns' Picnic is to be held and Thursday, the Sunday school Picnic. So you see there will be plenty going on this week.
To-day is a lovely day, quite different from last Sunday. Rev. W. E. Strong of Amherst, Mass. preached. He preached at Vespers at Mount Holyoke occasionally. After Church, a business meeting was held and it was voted to extend a call to Mr. Robinson of Clinton, Conn. to become pastor. The name of the pastor of the Baptist Church is Mr. Robinson, also.
The carnations reached here in good condition and are still fresh.
I hope you and Mary will have a pleasant visit in Vermont. Bertha will write after the lawn party. Thanking you for a most delightful visit and hoping you will write as often as you have time, I am
Ever your friend,
Addie B. Fitch.
