A Letter Written on Jun 19, 1907

Templeton, June 19, 1907.

Dear Lucy,

It is only a few lines you will get, just to let you know we are all right. I am glad you had a good time at South Hadley - and hope you did not get sick.

How is everything in N.S.? How is the packing? Carrie says she will go up and help if you are sick. Can't you get some one to help you? It will be better for you if you can. I went to Athol last Thursday and got me a new hat and suit - and I got overtired and have not got over it yet, though I am better - so you see I better not take another long trip just yet. Our engine company have gone to Worcester today and we are anxious to hear what success they had -- no news had come at seven o'clock. Emma is here and we shall try to keep her another week at least. I think she has gained a little.

We have heard nothing from Hattie, but Alice is to come to Mr. Lord's for a visit and Bessie thought Hattie was coming later. I ought to write and find out but hate to. I have been trying to make Mary's "Peter Pan" waist, but get along very slowly - I hope to finish it tomorrow. Persis has been here cleaning today and is to come tomorrow.

I wont use any more of your time - I hope everything will go off well graduation and that you will not be quite tired out.

Much love,
Mama.
