A Letter Written on May 4, 1904[?]

My dear Miss Baker,-

Accept my many thanks for your kind invitation for the thirteenth. I shall be very happy to come.

Sincerely Yours,
Elizabeth Medbury.

May the fourth.

[The year is not indicated on the letter or the envelope. Lucy is a 1905 alum, and Elizabeth is class of 1906, so they would have only overlapped three years in the month of May: 1903, 1904, or 1905. Lucy has saved no letters in the spring of 1905, so I'm eliminating that as a possibility. In 1904, May 13th landed on a Saturday, so I think it is most likely that the invitation was for a weekend date.]
