Templeton, Sat. morning.Dear Lucy,
I went to Wellington Club yesterday afternoon, and after I got home I went out to see if I could get any one to pick apples for us, and forgot all about your letter and that it should go in the 6-30 mail. I am afraid this will not reach you tonight but hope it will lest you think I am sick. We are all pretty well. I had quite a nice time at the Club. Tues. night about 7 a man came from Milbury, some one Uncle Isaac knew, and spent the night. I had quite a lively time getting things ready for him to have a place to sleep. I saw by the paper that Nellie Doherty is dead. Did you know that she was worse? Frank Winch is to be married Monday at Waltham. Edith came in one night to get Mary to get a rubber nipple for her. We have not heard from Carrie this week - just two weeks since we got a letter. Our plants are not frozen yet. I must stop and send this to the office. I hope you can get out of doors today it is so fine.
Much love,
Mama.
