Miss Lucy M. Baker,
        New Salem, Mass.

Dear Miss Baker:

Do you wish to better yourself? If so, I trust that you will register with us without delay. We have been very successful in placing our candidates in desirable positions, and believe that we can be of service to you.

If you do not care to change during the year, will you not enroll with us now, with a view to obtaining a better position for next Fall? Kindly let us hear from you in any event.

Very cordially,
Chas. C. Price.

[Only the top part of the first page is scanned; both the front and the back of the full sheet had questions for the applicant to fill out. Evidently Lucy decided not to apply for the job; she ended up staying in New Salem until 1907.]
