My dear Lucy M. B.,-Summer is here again and I've neither seen nor heard directly from you in a long time.
I've just spent two weeks in Templeton and lonesome. Oh, Lucy! how much I wished you were at home. I've not been able to work for quite some time.
I recently had a very nice letter from James Hunting. He inquired for you and wished to be remembered to you when I wrote again.
Elsie writes me that she and Mr. Pierson will move in the summer and I hope it will be to a better place. I know he's all right but it does make me feel badly to have her grow so coarse and well - I dont know what.
I saw Florence Hackett when I was at home and Ethel with all her children - oh, my! so young and so much confined.
I dont know of any especial news from home. I wish I might hear from you and plan to come down and spend some night with me after you get away from School.
With love,
Annie.45 Oliver St.
