A Letter Written on Mar 13, 1908

Dear Sister:-

As long as I was told that I need not write, I will of course do just the opposite. The games were the best things that ever were. Not that we beat, far from it. The Senior-Sophomores game was 38 to 9 in favor of the Sophs, and ours 35 to 4 in favor of the Juniors. But we don't care. At the end of our game when the two teams were cheering the Juniors started on first. They were all in a bunch & what did our team do but form a circle around them & cheer Wasn't that nice? Then they made a long line & ran off the floor with their arms around each other. Our mascot was not the cat but William, the Conquour [sic], Dr. Hooker's pet rooster. The Senior's mascot was Mr. Hammond's youngest boy & he made an awful cute one. The Juniors' was a billy-goat dragging a little cart in which there were blocks of ice, marked "From Greenland's icy mountains" and there was a little boy to drive the goat. The goat didn't behave any too well. Evidently he wanted to see what was going on for he kept stopping. At the beginning of our game the Junior mascot came in & presented each player with a daffodil, our class flower.

I must stop for the chapel bell has begun to ring. I get order my ticket home to-day[.] Just think of it. A week from Tuesday!

With much love,
Molly.
