A Letter Written on Jun 11, 1906

Monday Noon.

Dear Lucy,

I have arrived home safely and will send you this card, which I will send at once I found here. I had no adventures and found the ride much pleasanter than on Sat. All seem well at home. Miss Rich Lee says you better write to Mr. Scott Ward very soon and try to get a position in the Athol High for 1907. Says there are no vacancies next year - If you change your dress, do it soon to give the crease time to get out.

Much love,
Mama.

Carrie says that Mrs. Scollay came in while I was away, to borrow a sleeve pattern - She inquired if you have received a card from Fred since he went to Alaska: so Carrie quizzed her a little and found out Annie has had one. Arn't [sic] you sorry now?

Mrs. Scollay did not find out whether you had received a card.

The Fireman came to the Unitarian church, instead of the Orthodox, but there was no contribution box passed; that I have heard of.

Tell Dorothy I was sorry not to see her when I came away.

This is a mixed up mess.
