A Letter Written on Nov 3, 1906

My dear Lucy

I want to thank you for the invitation to the Hallowe'en party last week Friday evening. I was very sorry that I could not attend for I know I should have enjoyed it very much. The invitation, however, and the party as well came while I was away at Springfield and at Mt. Holyoke so it would have been impossible for me to attend even if I had known of it before I reached home. Had I been at home I am not sure whether I could have gone or not as my attendance at evening entertainments depends entirely on whether my brother can go too and take me.

I suppose you had lots of fun the other night did you not? I have memories of other very enjoyable Hallowe'en parties held at Academy Hall in years past. The invitations this year were very cute and pretty. I wonder whose idea they were.

I think perhaps I may see you next week as I am thinking some of going up on the Hill next Tuesday when Harry goes to vote. If I do go I think I will go in visiting the Academy and will see you there.

I had a splendid time in Springfield and at the College during the few days I spent there. It seems queer not to see the 1906 girls though I heard Pres Woolley, Pres. Hyde of Bowdoin and Pres. Tucker of Dartmouth while I was away.

Are you going to join the Grange? I hope you will for there I shall see you oftener.

I attended the meeting of the Franklin Co. Alumnae Association at Greenfield last Saturday. Had a very nice time. Are you a member of this association.

Hoping to see you on Tuesday, I am

Sincerely yours
Beatrice A. Fay
