Boston, Oct. 29, 1902.Dear Lucy:-
Your mother wrote me that if I thought you could get your Gym suit made about as cheap as we could get the cloth and make it, I better write you at once and have you have it made at once as you will want it. (Hope you will not let your Eng. teacher see the above) If you can get it for $4 I think you better do so for I do not believe we can get it and pay the express to you for much less, say nothing about the bother of making.
I called out to Mrs Derby's yesterday - Mary has just entered the High school and has to work pretty hard - She is a big girl for sixteen - larger than you in every way - Ruth is not quite as stout as Mary but taller than I am_ They are both very pretty_
Louise Smith has entered Simmons College I think it is a new college started this year_ I understand she has had a four years scholarship given her, so she is all right_ but I should rather have gone to some old established college, for I think the name goes a good way sometimes_ I'll send you an adv of the evening classes

I could not seem to get you any pretty blue gloves_ but got a shade I thought would go well with your cape.
I see the girls wear black ribbons for their neck, with white turnover collars, and I thought you might like one for a change so as I was getting one for myself got one for you[.] I got a black bow for my hair so I got a white one for you and they did them up with some other things and wrinkled them all up - so I stuffed yours with paper to send_ Miss C. will send them by mail to-day - Where you have to wear ribbons so much they soil and I thought you might like an extra one.
Its all right if you dont write me often as your mother and Mary are very good about the letters you write them - I know what it is to have to write letters all the time when you are as busy as you can be - You must manage not to answer them so soon except to your Mother and Mary - but I suppose you like to get letters.
I suppose Thanksgiving comes four weeks from to-morrow. It will soon be here. I am going to Concord this afternoon on the electrics and stay one night [.] To-morrow I am going to Fitchburg to stay one night. Expect to be back to Templeton Friday or Saturday sure.
Must close & write your mother a note
With lots of love
Aunt Carrie.Miss C. wished to be remembered[.] They all ask after you
