Templeton, Mass.
Nov. 21, 1902My dear Lucy:-
Your letter and handkerchief came the 19th and I thank you ever so much for the kerchief. It did not make me want to weep at going out of my teens but somehow I tho't more about my birthday this year than I have before & some how the future seemed darker than ever before. Most of my thoughts were not as pleasant as one would wish them to be on thier [sic] 20th birthday.
I'll not write more now but wait and talk to you when you come home.
Ever your friend,
Annie
