Dear Lucy:-I am only going to write just a few lines as I have studied all day (made 4 sketches, studied history etc.) and I am "kinder" tired. I think it would be a good plan to wait until you come home to bring the presents because they might get hurt on the way and I am sure that you had better get them. Mr. Hanson came Friday afternoon. Wasn't he good to wait until I got home from school? He looks a good deal older than he did last year but he don't look very old yet. (He looks as if he might perhaps be 21) I have been over to see Charlie twice. The first time he was pretty lively but Sat. he was tired. The Lend-a-Hand made picture books for the Floating Hospital Sat. We are going to have a picnic at our next meeting. Just think! at the Atheletic [sic] Meet at Fitchburg Sat. between G.H.S. & F.H.S. & L.H.S. and Murdock, G.H.S. won by a long shot. G.H.S. had 42 3/4 points & the next 23 3/4.
With love,
Mary
