Holden, Mass.
March 29th 1903.My dear Neice [sic]
Your very kind letter received & I do rejoice that you have kept well this year for we can do absolutely nothing unless we have health. I was in Worcester March 29th & placed my "Easter gift" for you in the "Worcester Five Cents Saving Bank" 314 Main St. & it will begin Apr. 1st to draw interest. I had this in mind at Christmass [sic] time; but did not go about it. I shall be in Gardner & Templeton during your vacation as I go to Gardner Apr. 9th to stay a week; have some business to do in the near by towns & will bring your Bank Book to you when I come to Templeton. I am quite sure May will be a nice time for me to come to visit you. I shall be in Amherst & go over from there. The ground was white with snow here this morning but is all gone now, it has been a cold day, the church was cold, altho I wore my Seal Skin coat I was chilled; but have since got thoroughly warmed, as I have not had a cold this winter I hope to escape once this spring, I wish I could sew a little for you in this vacation but for some reason it seems best that I am only gone one week at this time & I have to go to all these towns where the S. Banks are & show them my letter of Administration on the estate so that I can some time draw the money. What I have given you was my own before I married Dr. Loring. Dont try to write me before you go home but think of me as your loving Aunt
Augusta M. Loring
Much love to Mary & your dear mother
