A Letter Written on Mar 3, 1903

Templeton, March 3, 1903.

Dear Lucy,

I will stop a minute while I am getting breakfast, to write a line to you. Cousin Margaret died yesterday morning about nine o'clock. The funeral is to be at the church Thursday afternoon, at 2-15. I wish you was here but of course it will not be best for you to come: it would make it too hard for you and you would run too much risk of getting sick yourself. It does not seem as if we can get along without Margaret.

Uncle Isaac is away so Mary and I are keeping house alone. He may get back tonight. I must stop.

Much love
Mama.
