Dear Lucy:-

I shall not have to go away from home to school as you are doing as I am teacher in G.H.S. Last Tuesday Mr. Osbourne went down in the office to see Mr. Wood and left me in charge of the Latin class - to hear them recite and everything. We had a great time. Miss Allen saw some of them making some noise and sent a boy across to tell us to keep still. When he went out Levi Greenwood held the door on him and Miss Allen saw him and came flying across the hall. She took Levi into her room & Drake & Mildred Thrasher because they laughed. So you see I had a lovely time.

Next time I write I can tell you two important things - what I get on my report card and how the Prize Drill comes out. Arthur & Bates went down to Boston to drill at a drill Friday but I don't think they got any prizes.

What are we going to get Mama for her birthday?

With Love
Mary.
