Mascoma Lake, Enfield, N.H.,
Aug. 14, 1908.Dear Miss Baker,
I have heard from Miss Hadley, and she states that the condition of her health does not justify her acceptance of any position to teach. I am sorry, but I feared this would be her decision.
I shall recommend you at a salary of ten dollars, and the rest will be merely a formality without doubt.
Schools begin Sept. 8th, and I will let you know who your assistant is to be soon.
Very truly yours,
F. C. Atwell.
