My dear Neice [sic]

I take great pleasure in sending you word of an "Easter gift" - which I have for you of "one hundred dollars." I give you this now hoping that you will be able to complete your College course just a bit more as you would like to because of this extra money. I went this morning to Gardner Savings Bank to deposit it for you but they declined to receive it. So now which of the "Worcester Saving Banks" would you prefer to have me put it in? Please let me know: & I will leave the Book with your Mother the first time I go to Templeton. I am with Aunt Mary Baker for a few days went thurs [sic] to see Granma she is gaining but very slowly looks pretty well but is unable to do much. walks around the house & on the piazza when fine. I am grieved of Margie['s] sudden death & how we must all miss her just as long as we live. I did not go to the funeral because it was snowing so hard at the house. I intend coming to see you this year, shall go to Amherst to visit & see you at the same time either in April or May; I think May; I want it to be nice & warm so I can go around & see all the beauties of the place. Cousin Mary Brown at Amherst has been very ill with a Carbuncle on her hip, was in bed two months is better now. I am pretty well but so lonely I dont [sic] now what to do. Please write soon. I shall go back to Holden Thursday March. 12th & you can write me any time after that. The money came this morning from Illinois. I read your letter to Aunt Mattie glad to know you are well & doing well. Ever & truly

Your loving Aunt
Augusta M. Loring.
