A Letter Written on Dec 15, 1905

Friday Eveg

Dear Lucy:

We want you to send a list of the things you would like for Christmas right away_ They have forgotten to ask you when they have written_ Mary wants to know what you paid for the diary you got for Uncle last year Mary and I have been looking around in Gardner this afternoon_ She says to tell you we found a dish that [we] thought would be all right for her Mother, it was round and the edge was scalloped. I think there was some gilt but cant [sic] tell what the colors were only thought it it [sic] was pretty- the price was 50¢. Mary wants to know if she shall get it. We think it would be all right_ I have been looking at some sauce plates - have not decided on them yet.

Mary wants you should write her a private note and tell her about the dish.

About down to zero this morning[.] Hope you can read this but have written in an awful hurry_

With lots of love from
Aunt Carrie -
