My dear Miss Baker,I was more sorry than I can tell you on hearing today from Miss Lord of the sorrow and trouble you found at home on your return. I am very very sorry for you and wish I might say something in comfort. My mother is so dear to me that I can imagine what the loss of one's mother must mean.
