A Letter written on Oct 8, 1918

Oct. 8th, 1918.

Dear Margaret:

Just a line to tell you of the death of Belle Godshalk. Mabel received a telegram last night from Miss Godshalk saying Belle died in Bethlehem, Pa., and that the funeral on Wednesday would be private due to the epidemic. So we take it that Belle probably had influenza.

Mabel, Ruth and I are sending word to the girls who knew her best. I thought you would appreciate being notified.

I heard indirectly to-night that Margarette Daniels died last Thursday of influenza. She was working in Boston. Have you heard anything to that effect?

I trust you are well.

Ever loyally thine.
Flora.
