Dearest MargaretThis lovely morning is surely enough to make one happy, as was yesterday. I had a good time going after my hat. It wasnt [sic] done where I first went in, but I didnt care as I had telephoned Coz Lillie that I would call upon her at midday. At 2-45
ithat was done and on and paid for, and I taking car for W-fld. The hat is pretty, the only real trouble being that it & Mother's have the same pretty little features, for which I blame myself, but no matter. And the hurt on the forehead can be stretched out I'm sure. It's a satisfying hat, as I trust you will find. I simply cant begin to tell you how I appreciate your wanting to get it for me. Its bill was $12.20, which Im very glad it wasnt $15.Dear Girl, I hope you have returns!
I am not sure what day I go to N.Y. but not this week. There are so many things to do. Miss Wright has my gray suit.
Women not coming today, but tomorrow & we hope next day.
Lovingly ever
