ESBSunday night.
You precious Margaret dear.
They have been doing things to you and making you very uncomfy and I dont like hem. I never knew a word about it till Laura came last night. You know I am almost glad for now you'll have to come to me! Yes dear. I'll give you time to go home for a week and then you are to come straight to me and I have been hungry for you and so in despair of ever getting you. Laura would never give me any hope that you could come. But you'll just have to now. It's the only way to renew [?] your nerve. It never can be done at home in any body's own home but where you are detached and car efree with a sunny piazza & a couch. oh I forgot, you must lie down out doors. I'll make you love it. -
Laura is so well and happy this fall. I cant wait till you two are here! We went to see Mrs. Fiske in a N'Orleans play. Laura's introduction t her. We were entranced. You are to get to Dear Brutus, unless you have seen it in N.Y. Gillett brings it next week for 4 weeks - so I feel sure we can accomplish it. (ought there be two Cs? I never know.)
This morning we sat on Mr. Lodge's crags & watched the waves dash high. Glorious spot. You shall go there.
Endless love dear -
Emily.

If you despise these little comforts forgive my frivolity. I tried to find something more worthwhile but this was the best I could do at a fair for sick colored women & children.
Bless you dear.
