Nov. 12 '37Dear "Little Petite,"
Are you going to not write to me all year? Not if I have anything to say about it. What is keeping you so busy these days? Guess I didn't tell you how much I appreciated your help that Saturday afternoon, - so thank you now. Will you visit me again at Ogunquit some time?
Remember Jean Thomas, the pretty blond cashier at the Barbara Dean? A friend of hers told me she was very seriously hurt in an automobile accident. Judy was awfully worried, - but she isn't able to tell me much, so will you please phone Nina and find out what's what. Send her my bestest wishes for a quick recovery.
Arthur is coming tonight - as usual. He averages three nights a week, but apparently it hasn't hurt my work, because Dr. Adams excused me from taking an exam in my religion course with him. I don't believe that means I am flunking.
Tell Dad I wrote John about the such and such, - haven't heard from him. Tonight Minette and Helen were fooling with me, and wouldn't stop when I yelled, so they ruined a pair of good stockings. Grr - was I mad. Teach me not to fool!
Did you know anything about Claudia Bassett's wedding? Esther Ellett's? Has mother located those films yet? [ink edit in the margin: "no"] - I have another request to answer! Reitz sends me few but nice letters, and the last one contained an adorable snapshot - just the head. She is visiting Betty the week of the Minnesota-Northwestern game - lucky gal!
Has mother done anything about a wrap? Please prod her on the question whether I should go to Hicks' reception? [ink edit in the margin: "ansd G" which is her mother's first initial]
Arthur has come and gone - we saw "Stella Dallas" here - a gawd-awful film which made me squirm and squirm. If ou have not seen it, don't waste the Banker money on it.
Guy Lombardo is playing - it's midnite and if I want to look fresh like the proverbial daisy, I must hit the hay.
Love 'n' kisses,
BabraP.S. Where's my picha(s) of you?
B.
