Sept. 28/-37

Motherly dear -

How is my little bundle coming along? I know you must be awfully busy getting Betty's stuff off to the west, but I hope to see my beer jacket before Thanksgiving! Harsh words - and probably the bundle will come this morning!

Saturday Art Noyes, the lad who gave me Donald Duck, is taking me to the Mass-State-Bowdoin game and dance. My sentiments are being woefully divided, but if Bowdoin won't do things with me - Mass-State is very nice. He's been over two evenings. And John from AMherst was here Friday and last night. And a local boy, Dave Walker by name, entertained me Sunday evening and is coming again next Sunday. I can imagine Dad's remarks about the radio, but don't worry - I use it just about all the time and enjoy it tremendously, as does everyone else in the house!

Yesterday afternoon I went to the dentist and he scolded me for not coming last May, but the centennial was a good excuse for my neglecting him - or my pearls. Dr. Mayo filled five small holes and asked to be remembered to you, Mother.

Last night we had Glee Club rehearsal - singing things we will probably do in New York's Town Hall on December 17th. At least, a hundred lassies will go - seniors anyway and some juniors. Here's hoping! It really costs nothing because the college pays for the transportation and room rent. The eliminating takes place next week, and I shall do my darndest!

Saturday night the president had a formal reception to meet and shake hands with all the girls. Poor man - there were about four hundred other people who got in!

Mom - I do try not to be extravagant, but the top of my black bag came off completely, so I got a 94¢ one yesterday. And dues for this and that! My two one hour courses - which I hoped would be simple - amount to six hours in the studio! If you ever plan to come Sundays, let me know early, because I should be in the library 2-6 every other week.

Love,
B.
