4th day -Beloo'd fambly,
The usual silly streak is setting in as a result of over work - mental. There is not much news - but this is just to let you know I am still existing, but want a new tennis raquet. [sic] My precious relic resembles a lacrosse instrument. Daddy - doesn't that touch your tender heart?
I didn't dare write before because I cashed check 110 1, and then lost $2.50 in my little gray change purse. But that was returned tonight with contents intact. So now I have $2.71 to my name. Helen has just taken the $2.50 - but a nice freshman is giving me a ride home next Wednesday - so I needn't worry about funds. Her name is Betty Stephen and you know her sister who works in Mrs. Godsoe's shop. So - if Malcolm Lang calls - tell him to call again please - I wasn't kidding when I said I'd like to see him again. So - expect me home sometime Wednesday, unless you feel like coming to get me before then. My last exam is Monday morning, (I had two today hence the foolish streak). Then I am planning to rest, play tennis, and swim a wee bit - if you have no other plans for me. If Neal calls - please give him the same word as Malc - let Carol do it - she'd be very effective - I have no doubt. Et maintenant - ma chere famille I will cease. Mother - I had paid that thing - enclosed is receipt. [no longer with the letter]
Any word from Ginna yet? Nina says Burt won't be back in Ogunquit - for which I am very sorry.
All for now - be good and keep healthy - in the good old Banker fashion.
Love,
Barb.
