Dear Exits,
This is too early to begin your letter but I am out of employment. Have been out to the regular Thursday evening meeting which this week as usual was the preparatory service. Dr Jones spoke very well. The theme of his talk was "Is it I?"
When I got here the fire had gone out and as it was going on nine and Miss R. was at the library, it is still out and I am in bed[.] There hasn't any news happened since I wrote last. Tomorrow is Friday and the next day is Saturday as usual. Next Tuesday the Sophomores this year get the Boston Tech. Glee Club to give their concert. Elizabeth wants me to go with her so I go. Isn't that interesting[.]
Yesterday we cleaned the room washed our hairs and did nothing most energetically. Prof. Young is giving his course of lectures on Astronomy. He has treated the sun and has begun the moon.
Friday morning, we have had breakfast, beefsteak potato bread butter ginger cookies and apples - Have been to chapel and have gotten out an order for books. Looked up a cook to do an experiment with and now it is nine o'clock - It is a pity there isnt any news but it cant be helped. Perhaps you would like to put these pictures in the album with the other Holyoke ones which I sent. You may observe B. Blakeley and myself in the boat out for supper last spring.
Guess were [sic] are going to have more snow. I[t] looks squally enough -
Good Bye -
