Dear Exits,

It is time to begin your last letter for this term. I have been busy yesterday and today getting odds and ends picked up, letters written and accounts balanced. This afternoon I went to Holyoke to get my overshoes I got a pair over a week ago and let the clerk fit them. After wearing them up here I found that They didn't fit at all so 'carried them back' and got some odd pieces. Also got a five cent mug to put on the Xmas tree next Monday night in Pearson's dining hall. Each one has the name of some other one and is expected to make her a present of something costing not over five cents. The faculty of Pearsons were to trim the tree it may be faculty meeting will interfere. It seems to be bed time and perhaps it would be well to retire soon. The ten o'clock car has gone up. I may not be able to do my duty on Xmas presents if I arrive in Exeter Tuesday evening as it is possible[.]

You need not be disturbed about society meeting. Didn't you decide you were willing to go some where else? You might be able to rent the house for a while say during the winter. That would help them toward having preaching Sundays and would give us headquarters for the winter. I don't think that I want to stay here another year under the present conditions. I am not especially fond of running a book store and Miss Ruth is not especially progressive. I am not fitted to teach anything but preparatory Physics and laboratory work and never shall be if I stay here during this week.

Wednesday evening Margaret Langster gave a lecture on books and novel-reading. Tomorrow afternoon Prof. Hammond of Holyoke gives another recital on our organ. There is a good deal of entertainment along with examinations this week.

Well I must pack off
Good night Seraph
