[Salutation may be in German - I can't decipher it]

It is twice you had a letter but I havnt [sic] much time in which to write one and my pen doesn't make much impression.

My cold seems to be better but nevertheless if you get time I should be pleased to have you after me.

Sarah is here studying her Horace she said the other day she was feeling poor.

Minnie Caskey spent the Sunday here and yesterday she and Beth Fairbank went over to the ordination at Amherst. Yesterday it was hot here all but our room that was cool. During the evening we had quite a thunder storm, then another shower during the night and this morning the air is very delightful. Etta and a few others have gone over to see Smith College today - tomorrow the freshmen go up the mountain. It is too bad they didn't go today since it is so clear. Last evening several parties went up the mountain to come back today. They will have a delightful time.

You ought to see my tulips which I am painting from nature! They look unfinished as really they are. I worked on them in the garden for the sake of the air and sunshine. My drawing will have to go. I have lost two weeks work and am not going to make it up but put the extra time on something else.

This evening we are to have another concert arranged by Dr. Blodgett. Couldn't tell you the artists, there are four of them. Concerts are too good to miss.

Next Tuesday evening the Seniors give an entertainment - at least one Yale student is to be here.

This makes me sleepy must do my washing, go out of doors or study. It is about time to begin to dread the examinations[.] Four weeks from tomorrow is commencement.

Are you going to write Mater Familias to the Yale commencement?

Can't think of any questions to ask or answer or anything to say so will stop short until another time. Sarah says [s]he has something to tell me sometime so will have to find out what.
