South Hadley Nov. 23, 1850My dear Mother
I suppose you will be surprised to hear from me again, but I am very
sorrydesirous of knowing whether you will come here before Thanksgiving. We should be very happy to see you here at that time, but if you are not coming till after then, I should like to go to Hartford. Janie is very desirous to have me, and I am very anxious to go. Will you write back immediately or come yourself. If you answer as soon as you get this, I shall not get it till Tuesday night, and Janie wants to go Wednesday morning. So do write right off; I thought it was so uncertain whether you got here till next Saturday that I wanted to know, so that I could go to Hartford, Janie says he[r] father wants me to come. But if you will come here to spend Thanksgiving, I will give it up.Did you understand about the letters I sent you, they are shaped like acorns something, with a sort of [...] to [...] them in by. We We went thru to put down the wrist in front of our brown dresses. Be sure to let us see you, or hear from you before Tuesday evening, but I must not write more so good bye
